Welcome to New Futures - developing homes for affordable rent and sale

New Futures partners are diverse

Diverse

The organisations that make up the Partnership are diverse and have a breadth of experience to offer one another.

The Partnership has collective expertise in successfully developing and managing supported housing, rural communities, BME homes, student accommodation and general needs housing. This diversity brings knowledge and strength to the Partnership.

New Futures is Collaborative

Collaborative

The partners that form New Futures work together to make the Partnership strong and to deliver quality affordable housing.

“One of the obvious benefits of working within the New Futures Partnership is that through our regular meetings we are able to openly share our diverse experiences and knowledge gained in such a wide variety of situations, to assist each other to achieve their goals and ultimately provide more high quality homes more effectively. I am particularly pleased that being a ‘smaller’ member of the Partnership makes no difference, I am ‘equal’, and I able to contribute fully to the Partnership and in fact be the ‘expert’ in some fields.”

Delivering

The New Futures Partnership have a strong track record of delivering quality homes in line with the priorities of their stakeholders including local authorities and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Over the last three years, the partner organisations have completed about 2,000 units and spent about £57 million of Social Housing Grant. Despite the difficult conditions of the last 12 months, New Futures have continued to perform strongly and exceed their targets. The Partnership has completed over 765 units and spent over £21.6m in the year
New Futures partners are supportive

Supportive

The New Futures Partners offer one another a supportive network to share good practice, both in development and in broader housing issues.

“The New Futures Partnership provides a good opportunity to work with other development departments facing the same issues and sharing the same operating environment. All the members support each other in working towards the development of more quality affordable houses.”

Jayne Williams, Development Director, Elim Housing
New Futures partners are equal

Equal

The Partners may range in size – from less than 200 homes to more than 6,000 – but every member has an equal voice in the Partnership.

All Partners ‘have their say’ in any changes within New Futures. Through regular Chief Executives’ Group meetings and Development Group meetings, the Partners liaise to define the direction and consider the priorities of New Futures. The New Futures Strategy details this work and forms the work plan of the Partnership.
